The Journey

From the diamond workshop to the digital operating system.

My professional path began around a family diamond-manufacturing environment in Gujarat and evolved through business education, practical industry training, consumer marketing, academic research and marketing analytics in the United States.

  1. 01 · Rough

    Foundation.

I grew up around a family enterprise shaped by diamond cutting, polishing, manufacturing and long-term customer relationships. The environment taught me that value is created through patience, accuracy and trust—but also that opportunity alone does not protect a business. Clear roles, reliable information and disciplined systems matter just as much.

  2. 02 · Planning

    Early exposure.

I began observing the business more closely during a period of market disruption. That experience made me curious about the gap between traditional industry knowledge and modern business infrastructure: why valuable inventory can remain inefficient, why customer information becomes fragmented, and why decisions are often made without dependable measurement.

  3. 03 · Craft

    Craft and product.

Practical exposure to diamond polishing and jewelry manufacturing gave me a stronger understanding of the product behind the presentation. I learned how design decisions affect labor, setting, durability, finishing, quality, cost and customer expectations. Coursework in rough and polished diamonds added a more structured technical foundation.

  4. 04 · Commerce

    Marketing and the customer.

My work at Kiran Gems and Tanishq showed me two different sides of the industry: professional trade markets and the consumer-facing brand experience. The contrast reinforced an important lesson—technical product access does not automatically become customer trust.

  5. 05 · Analytics

    Analytics.

At Suffolk University in Boston, I completed a Master of Science in Marketing with a concentration in Marketing Analytics and Insights. Research and graduate-assistant work strengthened my ability to organize evidence, evaluate customer behavior and connect metrics to decisions.

  6. 06 · Experience

    Application.

At Subh Gems, I have applied this combined background across marketing analytics, digital commerce, customer experience and business-systems development. The Nuit D'Or initiative became a practical environment in which product, brand, technology, analytics and operations had to work together.

The journey is still in progress. The objective is not to claim that every system is complete, but to document how traditional jewelry knowledge can be translated into a more measurable, trusted and scalable commercial model.
